Julea Joseph

Founder Julea Joseph launched her business, Reinventing Space in 1999 when room makeovers, home staging (and HGTV,) were just in its infancy in San Francisco. After moving back to her hometown of Chicago in 2000 (and restarting a new business all over again) she was featured in the Chicago Tribune on the front page of the Real Estate section in an article about a design service called “Home Staging”.  A month later she was flown to Minnesota and did her first room makeover project for HGTV. Her business was launched! From Entrepreneur magazine, a 6 year run hosting a local Home Entertaining & Cooking TV show, Julea has become a local and national expert. Besides teaching the Interior Stylist Program, Julea too is a public speaker and Illinois REALTOR CE instructor. She has been teaching a Home Staging for REALTORS course for 12 years.

Julea has a bachelors degree in Psychology from Bradley University, minor in Fine Arts, specialty design and home staging education from the Interior Arrangement and Design Association, 1999. She lives with her family, and a menagerie of pets, including a coop of chickens in the suburbs of Chicago. In her off-time, you’ll find her tending to her garden, serving on the board of an Arts advocacy group or sneaking off to a 2nd place in Florida.
